What Is DA, PA, CF, DR, UR and TF?

Table of Contents

There are a few terms you should know when it comes to SEO. They’re not the most exciting things in the world, but they’re important. Here’s what they mean:

Domain Authority (DA)

The Domain Authority is a way to measure the overall quality of a website. It’s a score from 1 to 100, with 100 being the best. The higher your DA is, the better your website will rank in search engines like Google and Bing.

The Domain Authority is based on the number and quality of inbound links pointing to your site. So if you have great content that people want to share, other sites will link back to yours because it’s useful or interesting for them readers as well!

Page Authority (PA)

Page Authority is a score from 1 to 100 that predicts how well a specific page will rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). The higher your PA, the more likely it is that visitors will click on your site when they search for similar keywords.

Page Authority (PA) is the measure of how well a page is expected to perform in organic search based on its content, backlinks and authority.

The Page Authority score ranges from 1-100. A higher Page Authority indicates strong signals for Googlebot to crawl this page and index it.

Citation Flow (CF)

Citation Flow is a metric that measures the quality of links to a domain. It is based on the PageRank algorithm, which takes into account factors such as trust and authority when calculating rankings for search results.

Citation Flow is one of three metrics that make up Domain Authority; it measures the number of “citations” (links) pointing to your website from other high-quality sites on the web. In this way, Citation Flow is similar to Trust Flow. While Citation Flow tries to gauge the influence of your site based on incoming links only—not outgoing ones—Trust Flow looks at both incoming and outgoing links in order to give you an indication of how trustworthy another site considers your website’s content or URLs.

Direct Referral (DR)

Direct referrals are those users who click on a link, navigate to a page, and then directly click on another link within that page. For example:

  • User navigates to URL A
  • User clicks on link B on URL A (direct referral)

The direct referral count is the number of users who followed this process in the last 30 days (in Google Analytics). The total referral count is the total number of unique visitors for that same period of time (also known as “unique visitors”).

URL Rating (UR)

URL Rating (UR) is a metric that indicates the quality of a website. It’s calculated using the Google PageRank algorithm and represents the number of times a URL has been clicked on by users in search results. The higher the URL Rating, the better a website’s content and structure are considered to be.

Trust Flow (TF)

Trust Flow is a measure of the quality of links pointing to the domain. The higher this metric, the better your site’s reputation and overall “trustworthiness” are perceived to be by search engines.

When Trust Flow was introduced in 2011 by Majestic SEO and Moz as part of their new link data collection system, it quickly became one of the most important metrics for SEO professionals tracking their sites’ performance on search engines like Google and Bing.

In order for Trust Flow to work effectively with your site’s ranking algorithm, you’ll need to have an account with either Majestic or Moz so you can access their API (application programming interface).

Conclusion

While these terms may seem intimidating, they are actually very simple to understand and use. When it comes to SEO, learning the basics of Da, Pa, CF and TF is an important step towards improving your website’s ranking on search engines.
